MUSKEGON , Mi. (February 27, 2011) – Babbitts Motor Sports Racing®
Déjà vu ended up as the theme for Team Babbitt’s Monster Energy
TiLUBE Kawasaki presented by Maxxis Tires in Sacramento as Tyler
Bowers, Chad Johnson, and Gray Davenport would finish first, second,
and fourth in both the heat race and the main event this past Saturday!
Tyler Bowers would quickly put himself in good position with a great start,
as teammates Chad Johnson and Gray Davenport rounded turn one just
inside in the top ten. In short order Bowers would move into the lead and
check out – eventually earning his fourth win of the series. Throughout the
main Johnson and Davenport would work their way through the pack to
eventually finish second and fourth. “It was an awesome, awesome night;
Tyler started out the day great when he set the fastest lap time in practice;
then he just carried that momentum through the night. Tyler actually lapped
his way up to sixth place in the main” said very happy Team Manager Denny Bartz. I had a pretty good start, just focused on moving forward, and didn’t worry
about what was happening behind me. Everything went pretty well; my bike
worked great, and I felt great” said race winner Tyler Bowers. Talking about his night Chad Johnson would say “I got an okay start; then
put my head down and went to work, but Tyler was long gone. I wanted to win,
but still overall it was a good night, and I got on the box with second; the track
was really good, and my bike was working perfectly!” “It was a night of fourth’s for me; although I really wanted to finish third in the
main and make it another Babbitt’s sweep. I made up time on Kelly (Smith;
who finished third), but could not get him. Still, I made up some good points,
and got into fourth in the championship” added Gray Davenport. Next up the Team Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki TiLUBE presented by
Maxxis Tires group heads to round eight in Wichita, Kansas where the team
hopes to keep the momentum going! For more on the team, check out
